This policy describes how Sandman Sports handles sponsorship, conflicts of interest, and our position on gambling and betting content. It complements our editorial standards.

Sponsored content and advertising

  • Editorial vs. sponsored. Sponsored articles, branded content, and paid placements are clearly labeled as such at the top of the page. Editorial articles are produced independently of advertisers.
  • No pay-to-play. We do not accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage of any team, athlete, league, brand, sportsbook, or product.
  • Display advertising shown on the site does not influence editorial decisions and may be served by automated networks. Ads are visually distinct from editorial content.
  • Affiliate links. When an article contains an affiliate or referral link that pays us a commission, we disclose the relationship in the article.

Conflicts of interest

  • Writers disclose conflicts of interest before publishing on a topic. Examples: a personal financial interest in a sportsbook, an employment relationship with a team or league, or a close personal relationship with a story subject.

In 2026, Sandman Sports plans to launch a separate skill-based fantasy contests and group pools product, available to participants in eligible U.S. jurisdictions. That product will operate under its own terms of service, eligibility rules, and disclosures, and will be linked from this domain when live. Articles previewing or covering that product will disclose the editorial-vs.-commercial relationship.
